Lady Caress  With over 10 years of experience, Lady Caress impacts youth and adult audiences as both a poet and public speaker. Known for fusing poetry with comedy, music, beat boxing and storytelling, she has been featured on Season 4 of Verses and Flow, BET 365 Black Awards and Arizona PBS. As a National Poetry Champion, Lady Caress has coached collegiate students in competitive Poetry and Prose performance pieces in addition to designing and executing public speaking and poetry workshops for for over 150 institutions across the country. She has graced the stages at festivals, churches, special events, and venues such as National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NY, Mesa Arts Center, ASU Gammage Theater, Bus Boys and Poets in Washington D.C. and many others. Lady Caress continues to gain fans and supporters as not only a dynamic performer but as the future of Spoken Word. Poetically Powerful Films Is a collective of Phoenix AZ individuals of color uniting around the advancement of film projects that highlight issues facing or existing within minority communities. Our mission is to highlight the ever growing social and architectural scenes in Arizona while bringing light to a vibrant artistic community and budding night life. Our style focuses on the inclusion of spoken word poetry as a powerful communication tool and uses music to drive intimate connection. Our vision is to show people of color in a positive light as we strive to include our voices, while building a firm foundation for continued growth of films made by us using the very communities that made us.
